Internship

What an internship joins

An internship with Kochi Konther Asar is time spent inside the working side of a children’s organization that has run since 1976 — the events it stages, the schools and courses it lists, the publications it produces and the campaigns it runs. An intern works with the people behind that work rather than in a program built apart from it.

Where an intern can contribute

The organization’s program work spans five thematic areas — child education, healthcare, climate, child protection, and food and nutrition — and alongside them run its cultural activities, its events and its publishing. Where an intern lands depends on what they bring and what the work needs when they arrive. The areas above are the map, and each has its own page describing the work.

How to express interest

Interest in an internship goes through the contact page — the same route every enquiry to the organization takes. Say what you study or do, where you hope to contribute, and when you are available, and the organization will take it from there.

Placement terms — where, for how long, and in what role — are agreed with the organization directly, so each placement can be shaped around the intern and the work.
