Volunteering in the United States

Individuals in the United States can volunteer with Kochi Konther Asar in multiple roles — from fundraising and event coordination to community outreach — helping expand the reach and impact of the organization’s child-focused work.

The roles the organization lists

Four volunteer positions are offered in the United States, under the organization’s own titles for them: Information/Advice Helpline Volunteer, Fundraising Volunteer Coordinator, Special Events Volunteer Coordinator, and Volunteer Administrative Coordinator (Front Desk).

The organization is open to volunteer work outside these four, and someone applying can propose their own area of contribution.

Choosing a commitment

How much time a volunteer gives is the volunteer’s own choice rather than a schedule the organization sets.

The organization’s volunteer application asks how often — weekly, monthly, or another arrangement — and how many hours a week, offering bands of 0–2, 3–5, 6–10, 11–20, and 20 or more. It asks which days suit as well, in any combination from Sunday through Saturday.
